The Carbon Peel involves three steps using our Hollywood Spectra laser. To start off the service, we cleanse the skin, then apply a layer of carbon lotion and allow it to set for a few minutes. The first pass with the laser will heat the carbon, allowing it to melt into your pores and bind with excess oil and debris. For the second pass, we will use another setting to remove the carbon, cleaning away dead skin cells and buildup from within the pores. We will then do a third pass to remove any carbon left behind and to enhance pigment clearing. You are left with an immediate glow!

I have active acne. Can I get the Carbon Peel?
The Carbon Peel is a clinically proven treatment for active acne. Through a series of peels, acne is expected to be reduced by up to 90%. Once we have achieved the desired level of clearance, results can be maintained with a Caron Peel once every few months.
Will the Carbon Peel address my pigmentation?
The Carbon Peel is an effective treatment for mild pigmentation concerns such as light sun damage. For other pigmentation issues like melasma or severe sun damage, we will use a more aggressive approach. Once we evaluate your skin, we can recommend the right treatment course to get you to your desired results.
Does this treatment have any downtime? What is the aftercare?
The Hollywood Carbon Peel is a zero downtime laser facial. You may experience redness for a few hours following treatment. When it comes to aftercare, you will need to avoid any harsh skincare ingredients such as retinol for about 5 days. You will be required to wear a 50+ SPF daily before and after your treatment. We strongly urge our patient’s to wear sunscreen every day regardless of if they are currently receiving laser treatments. Sun protection is the foundation of good skin.
